I thought about asking for the grainiest panels but I figure I'll just let the process play out and see what gets picked.
What kind of liner is it, Canuck Panda? Looks pretty thick and comfy.

Lochcarron tweed I believe it's what's called. I went Wild Card and let Sam pick the colors for me. But the spec is the heavy tweed from Lochcarron. This is one of the lining I don't have and it does look very comfy, can't wait...
I am curious. I also have a heavy (?) Lochcarron tweed and it is very nice and warm, but relatively scratchy. I.e. what you wear underneath shouldn't be too sensitive, because the movement of the rough fabric roughens up the lighter fabric a bit.

That's the strome weight wool right? Very nice. I always ask for those in my Aero jackets, wild card to save some cost. They are a bit coarse compared to say the moleskins. But I am a wool guy. I find there is a lot of value in the heavy Locharron wools. They do start off scratchy but eventually softens with wear. The only thing I would suggest is to add a strip of corduroy hem to prolong the wear, especially for guys with stiff saddle leather belts, they tend to really wear the inside of the lining at the hem.
I think the tweed is woven differently, more air and bouncy and sweater like, whereas the strome wool are more dense and like fancy linen. Not sure. This will be the first tweed lining for me. Will find out soon. Greg still needs to put them buttons on my jacket I believe.

I think it's great. And since I don't wear the jacket topless, it doesn't bother me that it's a bit scratchy. I have the sleeves with satin anyway.
Fits his style I think. He mix's it up if you look at his page but he has kind of a IV league kind of look I'm surely not describing correctly. But it reminds me of his Barbour jacket look. This one reminds me of that with a 90's like look.

I am a fan of Deerskin, even if I only have one pair of traditional leather trousers. But I think thick soft Deerskin is just great.
I think the jacket is pretty good, even if it's not my style. Especially the collar is way too wide for my taste. I don't like collars that are too wide because I have a thin neck, which then becomes visually even thinner.
But if the leather is still sturdy, even the wide jacket can look good. I'm more for tighter fits, but this one looks really good on him. 1930s working-class style.
@Canuck Panda Will this collar stay standing if you turn it up? I’m hoping that will be the case for the highwayman collar on the Aero Seven, but I’m also going to check with Greg about the collar on the modified Route 66’s he’s been doing.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but the Seven and the Route66 are the same jackets except for minor details. Both Café Racer with collar. I had the Route 66 with collar, by the way. Unfortunately, it didn't fit me as well as I hoped it would.
I hope to get my board racer the week after next. Then I can share the difference.
I should’ve clarified - what’s the build quality comparison here? Are Aero and FL pretty similar?

I don't have a FL Route 66 so I can't give direct help there. But Mr Proper has the very first FL Route 66 and he has an Aero BR on the way so he would know best the difference between the two. However, also note that Greg has been tweaking his cuts and constructions since he started so things may be different now than he first started.
Like HandyMike said, the look is different. Greg use smaller needles. Aero uses bigger needles. Neither is better or worse they just give very different looks.
Real Mccoys (is somewhere in the middle) vs Aero (is more rugged) vs Field (is less rugged, although he can accomodate, like Marc's jacket)
My best advise is to pick your leather first, that's half the jacket in every leather jacket.
