100% BEAVER/MINK - cognac-navy - this hat is in excellent condition, These were popular around 7-10 years ago. One of the finest grade felts available, these were totally custom, designed by Aida, JJ Hat Center designed it after the Borsalino line went bankrupt in 2017, to fill the gap of a premium hat. It turned out to be something even more special, this hat is so elegantly styled, the felt and leather sweatband is as good as it gets. This was $565 plus tax from Jjs. Size is 59 will fit a perfect 59 (7 3/8).

I understand that I am new to the forum and this is also listed on facebook marketplace if someone prefers to research that / purchase there. I am also a longtime Ebay member with the same username and use the same name on thegearpage with many sales at 100% feedback. An in-person sale would be great for anyone in Dallas TX.

Also, what is the crown height, brim width and do you know who made the felt?.

The hat is designed to be similar specifications of a Borsalino Classico. Brim width is approximately 2 3/8" and I measure approx 4.5" crown height from brim to top (not the inside of the center crease) in the front of the hat. If I measure from brim to top of hat on side (highest point) it is approx 5". The fur is all beaver / mink with no rabbit; should be mostly beaver with just "a touch of mink"; I understand that the hatmaker Roche also is the felt maker. There is a ton of additional info on the youtube videos if you care to listen through them.

I was after the Coles notes on the hat. I can't listen to Kev for more than 20 seconds at a time. I love the hat but 2 3/8" is too narrow for me. Good luck with the sale.

I have a Winchester beaver/mink blend and the hatter that made it for me said that Winchester would not divulge the content mix. He sarcastically said that perhaps a mink walked through the factory floor the day they were felting so they decided to call it a mink/beaver blend.

I ended up gifting this hat to my sister, so no longer available. Nice to buy a new hat, but even better to see the joy on someone's face who has just received their first high end hat. Happy holidays.
