First silliest being the US Caste system thread?
Soon we’ll have a thread stating a coworker claimed that wearing a leather jacket shorts was an outward indication that the wearer was somehow of lesser social status than he and apparently others.

True….but takes our minds off the super serious stuff like stitch counts, tucked or untucked and micro-fit adjustment dissertations.

Maddening but does bring some humor and break up the monotony….at times.

I think the logic is this: you bring a (leather) jacket for when it gets cold, but your outfit is shorts and short-sleeved shirt. So it’s totally ok to wear leather jacket with shorts in the early morning and evening/night, but you can take off the jacket during the day when the sun is out. It could be weird to see a leather jacket on a person mid-day outdoor and people might make a comment like “aren’t you hot?” But it’s not to get at the leather jacket (which people don’t even notice that it’s leather), but they are trying to get at your comfortable temperature. However, if it’s mid-day indoor, a leather jacket on a person is also ok.
