The deposit is $200. Back when this gentleman ordered his jacket I believe they were going for around $1200

It's been a while, everyone. Since then, I've exchanged many emails with John and finalized the specifications for my jacket. Since I first placed my order, the selection of leather types and knit colors had expanded, so I had a bit of trouble deciding. I asked John various questions and made several requests regarding the leather, zippers, and sizing, and he responded kindly and thoroughly each time. And today, my jacket finally arrived. A lot happened along the way, but I'm very satisfied with how the jacket turned out. To everyone who gave me advice — thank you so much.

I received my requested refund the next day, along with a 10% interest. John wrote me a nice email about missing my order when I was quiet about it. He told me that he has since hired a guy who helps him with lining up orders that need to be finished.
Though I didn’t get any jackets in the process (which is completely on my part), John has been a gentleman through and through, very easy to work with and communicated promptly.
