They break in great. You just have to wear the hell out of them. Out to the bar 1x a week four months of the year will take time. This one is 15 months old. Hiked in it, biked in it, wrassled a bear…..you het the idea.

Does the top coat (think it’s resin) eventually wear off? How do you condition it?

Very nicely broken in, it holds the creases really well, I can see the airpods case indent in the little pocket super clearly!

Nice zippo cast on the coin pocket, my coin pocket is shaped by measuring tape case

Two and a half years old. Worn almost every day it’s below 60 degrees which is about 10 months a year. It’s coming along nicely. I haven’t noticed any other LW’s with very faded thread.

It should. Newer version has the straight cut back and a bit longer body- should be even better for you. If you don’t ride, see about eliminating the laces? Clean it up and it looks even better imo.
