I removed the liner on a Resistol Beaver 140 I’m working on. The liner is ivory color with a plastic crown protector & very clean but it looked like sweat or dirt had gotten under the protector.

Looking from the liner topside it appears the oval logo has been screen printed or fumed with a gold/brown color. I think the effect created looks like the bronc rider is kicking up a dust cloud. The rope edge of the oval is silver & doesn’t look tarnished like in the pic.

The inside of the crown shows no sign of sweat, dirt or bleed thru in that area.

Honorable mention:

I have another Resistol red liner which I have been unable to find boxed up. Have a Resistol Fort Worth Beaver “30” with the burgundy liner.

That cowboy in the liner is the symbol for the Miller Hat Co. of Denver. Stetson actually made that hat. Miller became Miller Stockman.
I was mistaken in the above comment. That hat is a Buckaroo made in Stetson's Ontario, Canada factory. They weren't sold as Stetson hats, however.

Bumping this thread just because it’s cool.

I scrolled a few pages and i had few thoughts i’ll share:

I love this thread because it’s all pics, few words, no need to pontificate the weather, broken bones, your daily dawdles nor chat back thank you’s like you’re having a IM session.
Like Joe Friday said “Just the facts Ma’am”.

Next, i think the coolest liners, at least for American made hats, was the period of embroidered liners. Those were some classy times, craftsmanship and detail ruled. None better than Stetson’s Flagship and the Dobbs Rainbow in my opinion.
Scrolling back i remembered the excitement of hunting hats, finding illusives, watching newbies (like myself)progress from beaters to diamonds and share in other’s collections. Good times.

New hands came, some stayed, some old hands went and took with them so much knowledge and wisdom. What became of them a mystery.
I quickly realized so many i miss.
Just to name a very few: @Yahoody, @DOGMAN, the lovable irascible @Bob Roberts, @Dinerman, RIP Ed @desertdog and +1 @RJR?…. on and on. Heck i even miss myself being “in the spirit”.
Like the cycles of cicadas the Lounge soldiers on.

Lastly….@drmaxtejeda, Max my friend, you need to put the Stetson Ermine on here, et al.
B

Ps: forgive the septuagenarian moment i guess i violated Joe Friday.

Oh yeah…..here’s a not often seen lovely liner in my book.

What happened to Ed?
Bout 99.9% sure he passed a couple years ago, Jack. Looked for him, sent several pm’s to him, unanswered.
Found an obituary dated about that time and in his area, sounded like his. Found daughter’s phone number and left a couple messages but never heard back.
I really liked that old boy. King of the hairy hats among other things.

Ah, Bowen, I miss you too. Here are some Ermine pics. I called you a couple of Christmasses ago, but you didn't pick up.
By the way, B, I had triple bypass surgery in September, and I am fine with that now, but I've been struggling with Crohns disease for six months now, and it's been tough.

That's beautiful, Max.

Sorry to hear about the Crohn's. My BiL has been battling that for years; I feel for you.
