What are the measurements of the jacket? It would be interesting to see compared to the others.

Is it possible the leather has moved since it was made? Leather can shrink.

You can find the measurements on his jacket database

I'm not sure what you mean by the leather has "moved"... I wouldn't wear something I couldn't move in :)
Wisecrack aside, yes it does mold and crease around my frame + movements.
But in my experience, the horsehide I've gotten hasn't shrunk.

and when I watched Dave’s YouTube video I noticed there seemed to be some removable snaps on the chest. Do you know how many there are?

Idk about Himel's version.
But based on the Leathertogs jacket the front is inspired by, there's just 1 removeable snap which helps attach the lapel to the chest.

I was reading this thread the other day and what caught my eye was how the thread was about what a fantastic jacket this was to then be revived a couple years after pointing out all its defects.

People change, thoughts evolve (same as clothes) and two things can be true at the same time, but it was still very catchy how the thread turned 180º.

i have not gone back and reread the thread, but re a himel 180, i certainly think the jackets in his latests ig posts have been lack luster.

As he learned more and more about jackets, he started noticing all the defects. It’s really a testament to his encyclopedic knowledge.

It also shows how some makers take advantage of their customers. QC isn’t something the buyer should be doing...

Absolutely! Plus I've seen he's probably has more jackets than I've ever even put on, so he likely goes a very long without wearing or even looking at a specific one in his collection, which surely helps towards getting a second first impression when you wear something again for the first time in forever.

But I was referring to the thread as a whole and not him individually. Even if he was the one sparking the 180 with his update after 3 years, it's one of the things that made me wish I had been here back then to be witness of the evolution real time. Same as the bazillion pages of Five Star Leathers trials and errors.
