D IS FOR DIAPER POCKET

if I may ask, what was the origin of the pattern? Did you adapt it from taking apart similar motorcycle jackets and trial and error with the sizing/fit? Looks pretty complicated given all the pieces.
Yes, for this pattern I took apart a perfecto style jacket from the 60’s/70’s(unknown maker) that had lots of condition issues. The top block fit me decently, but I pretty drastically altered the body panels through the torso and sleeves to achieve a fit that I liked. I prefer beltless cross zips, so that’s how I’ve done the 3 I’ve made so far. Using a different side panel(for taper), changing pocket config, and adding a belt this one could be pretty easily adapted back to a perfecto style. This is the most complicated pattern I have. There are more than 40 pieces to put it together, and takes me a solid week to make one with a detach collar. I’m actually going to start one this week in a size 44 for my dad. Fingers crossed!

Good luck dude, I'm sure it will be fire! I'm generally a size 44 as well now - maybe double up? ;)

Yesterday’s couple hundred mile bike ride turned into a few hundred, so this one got about 11 hours of wear on the bike and it’s all the better for it. I may end up spamming this jacket as it’s breaking in, I really like this one!
That looks great bro. Would you consider making those for paying customers at some point?

On a side note, I ride a bicycle and did 108 miles this past Sunday, though I definitely wasn't wearing leather, LOL.

Yes, I will certainly get to that point soonish!
Wow!!! There’s no way I could do 100 miles on a bicycle.. props!

Most definitely hundreds of miles per day! My personal record is 740 in a day, and I know there are folks who can beat that. That’s about all I do with motorcycles anymore, as I try to avoid riding in town as much as possible. Drivers around here are becoming increasingly incompetent it seems. Here in SW Missouri and NW Arkansas, we have some really great back roads for day trips.
Wow, that's crazy but it sounds like a great time to be honest! Back road driving can be some of the best times you can have!

Also fully agree with you on driver's being increasingly incompetent, at least here in the States.

Lost Worlds horsehide jeans jacket today. This jacket is a beast! Picked it up second hand here on the Lounge and couldn’t be happier!
Pairs well with my vintage Resistol San Antonio.

Got my action-back Aero CR back from re-lining in Poland today.
Not sure about the lining they used. It's on the soft and rather thinner side, even has some stretch to it.
We shall see how it holds up - for now some kind of lining is much better than no lining at all.

Here's a couple of shots that I took to compare the fit side by side with my other jackets while wearing a t-shirt + medium thickness wool sweater.
Rugged West J-24 style "Rugged Rider 3.0 / III" in tea-core steerhide - only really works with a t-shirt due to the very slim sleeves. Good for warm weather.
Aero CR with an action back in black CXL FQHH - definitely my widest jacket in the mid/upper body, but that makes it very very comfortable when layered up. I'd prefer slightly longer sleeves, but this length is acceptable.
Vanson model E / Highwayman in extra stiff competition weight - comfortably roomy upper and mid sleeves, tight cuffs, comfortably tight mid and lower torso, nice and roomy upper back. My best fitting jacket in my own opinion. Both in terms of looks and comfort. Wish the back and sleeves were a bit shorter though.
Aero Hooch Hauler in brown CXL FQHH - not very good forward reaching mobility and not the widest sleeves for layering, but very nice and flattering short body length and width.

That's the current lineup / stable. Octagon Vanson B inbound.

Very nice! They all look spectacular on you, but i prefer the fit of Hooch hauler, then CR, then the other two. Expecially in the back to my eye both the aero’s look perfect.

That looks great! If you sell this CR, I forbid you from even trying another straight zip for at least 2 years :p
