My girlfriend bought me a members only jacket identical to this one in 1981 and my ex wife sold it in the late 90’s. I was very young and had very little money at that time so this jacket meant a lot to me. When I saw it on eBay I had to have it. It’s still a cheap jacket and probably mostly forgotten by many but I think after hand washing and a hang outside to dry, it looks pretty good. I’m actually surprised that the chrome tanned smell came back after washing it and the leather on this one looks better than I remember. I have many jackets but I wanted this one because in almost every picture of me back then, I was wearing the members only jacket and I wore it today after it completely dried!

I am not a young man but compared to my 94 year old Dad I am a kid. He wears his Members leather jacket all the time. It looks good on him and nothing wrong with it.

Members-only jackets, leather or not, were of excellent taste and style. So were Baracuta’s Harrington jackets.
