I'm blasting back after months of FL inactivity with this virtually new ELMC Californian in black horsehide. I cannot get enough of how nice this one smells - I mean it fits well too, but the smell is the more important factor right?

The scratch & sniff feature in my browser confirms that it smells great! Fit is good too. Beautiful jacket!

It cooled down quite a bit this morning so I threw on my Taylors CMPD, but with the rain coming in and my errands done I'll be in the house with no need for a jacket.

No it doesn't have a sleek flattering torso, but It's my best fitting jacket.
The funny thing is that as far as I remember, this is the very first jacket of any kind that I actually purchased myself.
With the m-65's my dad handed down to me , USN utility from my uncle, and the other jackets handed down to me I just never needed to buy anything.

I didn't really know anything about measurements beyond pit to pit and tag size and didn't even know how well it fit me at the time, but after learning I now know that this is probably the best fitting non restrictive off the rack leather jacket I'll ever find.

Wearing my new-to-me 1993 Schott Perfecto 624 in deluxe heavy steerhide... :) The 624 is a seemingly rare Schott model with little mention when searched online. I REALLY like it.... :) :

EDIT: Schott CS sent me the catalog page from 1993 showing the 624. The jacket was only made in that year, so I suppose it could be considered rare:

Many thanks to @tweedydon for making today’s pic possible. This is the Lost Worlds Suburban in russet FQHH. It is a substantial jacket. I put it down for a moment, and it stood up on its own and tried to gallop away. The boots are in Horween russet horsehide by Oldspeed Mfg of Media, PA. “Russet” clearly has different meanings for Lost Worlds and Horween. Or Horween employees have never eaten baked potatoes.

@KimNelson: These Oldspeeds are awesome.
