Yikes. That looks uncomfortably painful. I like to treat my feet to cloud-like leather, not torture them. It’s like with bed, I stay in them for 8+ hours daily. They need to be the best money can buy (or what I could afford). Good use of money per hour or per wear.

the tannage is super important. I had some very stiff tanned boots with I thick Wickett & Craig leather, probably should have never been used as a boot leather, even tho it was thin.
I've also had thick but pliable boots that were very comfy.
Brand and model, please? The one linked above doesn’t look comfy and it’s unlined at that, too. It looks like blisters everywhere.
probably the thickest have been nicks and whites work leathers. I haven't noticed any increased comfort with lined leathers.
on that maker's one, you can see a lot of looser flesh side has been left on the hide, which adds visual thickness but is not very dense.

Lewis Leathers boots “10” $7 bidding. Seller provides 28-29cm as prob estimating insole, he would have been sure if it was outsole. 29cm insole would be equivalent to US 10, whereas 28cm at US 9.
