Cool Labels Thread

Hey guys, I wanted to start a thread for cool labels we find on vintage pieces. I've noticed that FL gravitates toward certain brands and others get few mentions. To start, I wanted to add a few seldom-seen and cool-to-me labels.

I know some of the OGs here are familiar with many other labels I’d love to see and learn about.

My first and favorite label is courtesy of @technovox and the Herm's Leathertog he once owned. I'm still looking for a Herm's in my size and with this label.

Some other labels from a brand I had not learned about until recently are from The Alaska Sleeping Bag Co. The first features a dog sled team, and the other has northern lights.

There was a Midwestern (?) maker in the 30s 40s who made heavier winter outwear. They had a cool old label of like a smirking sun. I can't remember the company but I remember the tag and it was wacky and I liked it.

Couple Rough In labels

Always loved the little Fidelity owl

Throwing in a modern one for good measure. Greg Field used this label for a short time but it’s always been my favorite. Could only take a zoomed in screenshot. Does anyone have a jacket with this label and can provide a high res pic?

I admire the graphics in this label, it has a modern look yet from the 1930s.

It took me a few turns to see the MW in this, otherwise no name logo. They counted on recognition. Notice; Made on Pacific Coast, not Made in California. Not too many makers on the Pacific Coast outside of California. Also Union made. Seattle Woolen is the only maker I can think of outside California. This is a pre-war label. I don't know if I have the garment it was in.

Seems like the further back in time you go the more the elaborate the labels. Just another example of emphasis on quality and details vs cost cutting measures over time I guess. The Western makers have some of my favorites.
