Or avoid wearing it in the rain because it will take days to dry, it will get moldy if not properly aired while drying and it actually might get damaged if dried too quickly.

Don't wear your leather jackets in the rain. It doesn't do the jacket any good and not being waterproof, it doesn't do you any good.

All it does is make you look kind of cool.
Spray bottle with distilled water for targeted application works well. Keep the liner dry.

Hahaha. Endgame comment on "babying your jacket".

Rain won´t harm a leather jacket; soaking may likely do. The idea of any leather jacket as an "ideal raincoat" is pretty far out. On the other hand, öeather is pretty sturdy and does withstand 90% of everyday conditions.

I second this. Especially if it’s semi aniline horsehide from Double Helix Works. I got caught in the rain in mine and embraced it until it dried and became even more stiff. What came next was the biggest concern, I contacted Matsuda (at Double Helix Works) to ask him what he recommended and he said I should take it to a professional! I ended up using your Urad Tenderly and it did a pretty nice job of bringing it back. All that being said, I wouldn’t intentionally wear mine in the rain again. Cheers.

This is really helpful for me to know so I don’t wear my Double Helix in the rain. Usually if there is a chance of rain I wear my CXL which has been pretty weather proof so far. If it is going to pour then I also use an umbrella.

Another day of trying to wear leather in non leather situations. It warmed up a bit. The snow was soft. Felt like walking in sand for 90 min. In the end I was too warm.

What was your opinion of the c2,,i don't think the vanson will ever be as comfortable as a 613,but I love them both.

I really liked it I think the next move will be to try one in my regular size which is a 42. I thought the vanson would require a bit more sizing down but ended up being a bit too snug especially around the midsection at the size 40. I may be wrong but it strikes me as having a greater taper from shoulders to waist then my Schott jackets

Yes I agree, the vanson i bought was another 44,same as the last 2 model E,difference now is that I've lost 20lbs.so this is going to be used as a winter jacket. I could easily have gone with a 42.

The modern C2s I’ve measured all dropped 2” from ptp to hem across

Black Goat Eastman Luftwaffe "copy".
I had this made to measure, "bespoke" if you like 25 years ago as a summer weight motorcycle jacket.
25C top forecast means at 110Km/H a light leather jacket does what's required.
It is getting a bit threadbare lining wise now, and as I have soooo many it will likely never be relined.
