Four new hats graced our household in 2025, of which three were Wolfbrae Panamas. Two for me, and one for Etsuko. We provided silk kimono fabric for the ribbons.

Also an Italian wool felt hat for Etsuko…not sure of the maker, and still awaiting its debut.

As I was searching out photos, I realised that I had also purchased two Gamble and ***n straw hats. They were cheap, but I figured they would serve a purpose. Unfortunately, the purpose they serve is to annoy me every time they’re on my head. They may be destined to be fire starters for my barbecue.

Etsuko also has two cloche hats on order from Christys’ that were supposed to have arrived around Christmas, but are not here yet.

I expected this thread and will post mine shortly. These Wolfbrae panamas are gorgeous, Gary.

I'll split the finds up in finders and keepers. I am going to need two and three posts respectively. For those without patience, here are the summary pics.

Finders:

Keepers:

But let's have a closer look.
17 finders and 29 keepers seems like a lean year for you. Quality was certainly not lacking, however.
The most disappointing thing was that none of the finders found their way to Wakayama last year!

Agreed, but that is a difficult choice to make considering the company it keeps. Thanks for sharing them!

Thank you, Bob. It is in stellar company, but they are such a rare thing to find over here and especially in such condition.

Thank you, Gary. I was doing quite well in not buying hats for most of the year, but the second half just saw too many of them following me home. I tend to not buy as many that are not in my size anymore, since I have too much trouble finding a good home for them.

I spent like a madman last year, and wouldn't presume to bore you all by showing everything I acquired. I'm going to cull the list and try to just post the most attractive, or oldest, or any that are in some way "special."
