2025 has been a year I realise I've not bought any new (or new to me) felt brimmed hats. Not sure that really counts as a fallow year for me, though, as I've been so institutionalised into the academic calendar since 1978, I can't think in regular calendar years. So my felt hats in 24/25 were all bought in late 24, while I still have a few months of 25/26 to go...
I did buy one brimmed hat in 2025, if a brown Daisy Mae from WPG counts. That got worn a lot when we went glamping on the South Downs for a holiday in July. Otherwise, this was a year of caps and berets (probably a good ten or so, collectively), and two flying helmets (one leather, one shearling).
Enjoyed seeing what others have picked up in 2025 here, which is inspiring me to look to my fedoras (and a couple of those on my watchlist) once this current freezing weather passes.
