Arguably one of the more 'collectible' G-1 contracts. The original 'Top *** Maverick' G-1?
Series A G-1s don't come up for sale very often, especially in this all original condition.
Then jacket is clean, no odours, no ghost stitch holes, no moth holes.
Leather is splendid and retains all the character and grain you'd want. Some small scuffs here and there, but superficial; and expected.
Knit parts are all original and still retain tension.
Lining is immaculate.
Mouton is sun-bleached as would be expected and adds to the character. No balding, except for that one small spot near the top of the zipper.
Label is original to the jacket, as is the size tag in the pocket.
No. 5 Blackened Conmar zipper is original and flawless.
U.S.N perforated on the windflap.
Overall in excellent condition, very wearable with many years of life left.
£500 plus postage PPFF to FL'rs (will go on Ebay for more).
This is a very fair price for an A series, just want to recoup funds spent.
