J100 from Crush On Retro. 1.3 mm Italian tea core horse hide. The leather is a bit stiff as expected for new HH, but it feels good. I’m really impressed for just under $300 USD.

Man oh man.. costs me twice that just to buy enough HH to make a jacket! Geesh. Looks pretty good
I know, right?!? I paid over 3 times more for the Horween HH I supplied to Vanson for the jacket they made me. Considering I’m never going to wear this jacket on a bike, I’m not overly concerned about its ability to weather a crash.

The stitch work is pretty nice too. It’s not perfect nor would I expect it to. All in all it’s a very pleasant surprise.

This looks fantastic. What leather did you use?
The leather I went with is called Maryam wash horsehide. Maryam leather is used a lot for boot making, but I've found it makes for great jacket leather as well. The brand Freenote Cloth makes a lot of their jackets out of Maryam which is where I was introduced.

It is full vegetable tanned, which is naturally going to be soft, but on top of that the leather sort of flexes and moves with you. That's the best way I can describe it, but the leather is the opposite of stiff. I'm not sure if that is due to the wash process.

Anyways, I've definitely found it to be quality, and from my limited communication the people that run Maryam seem like great folks too!
