This is a Paja Toquilla Montecristi Panama of Optimo Chicago's fabled Straw Room quality. Their best Montecristis are kept behind glass doors at the back of the showroom. There's an image of it at the end.
Size 7 3/8, with a 3 inch brim and a 1 1/4 inch Optimo NOS vintage ribbon.
I purchased this hat in April 2024, six months before my health troubles started, for $3500 dollars from a gentleman who had bought it in Optimo several years before for five thousand.
I don't know how much this hat would cost in the Optimo store nowadays, but I do know their prices are twice as high now as they were when I bought my first Silverbelly there in 2019.
