I have always wanted a premium leather maker to make a jacket that I could get for my girlfriend. This could be modified easily for women in my opinion. Take in the waist etc... I wish aero or someone would make a nice leather trench for women.
I bought a pair of iron rangers from piperlime.com which is owned by the gap. They have free returns and often have coupon codes for a good percentage off.
Hope that I didn't give that impression. I actually own a couple schott jackets. Personally I think the restoration hardware jacket has a price point based on the typical restoration hardware prices.... Which I think are very very high.
Schott makes some decent jackets. They are just a...
I think if someone were considering the racing shirt from restoration hardware/schott, the himel version is actually a better buy. It may be more expensive, but it looks to be leaps and bounds higher in quality.
Your racing shirts are beautiful. From the pictures on your site, the quality looks amazing. Been following your site as well as your blog for some time. Hope to purchase one of your jackets one of these days.

From what I have read and what schott told me, they designed this jacket as a copy of the owner of restoration hardwares personal jacket. I have seen similar "racing shirts" that are unlined on himel brothers website. Apparently these style jackets were unlined to keep the wearer cooler.
So I am still agonizing over this. Which is not unusual for me. Took me forever to pull the trigger on my aero halfbelt. I have decided to get the M422a with some modifications. I want the nickel aero zip like I have on my halfbelt. I would like corduroy lined pockets.
The big decision...
Ps: my girlfriend says I have a "long torso". My pant length is normally 30. This probably is why my neverending search for the perfect jacket continues.
I am 5 ft 10 and my aero size 40 is 24.5. If I had to do over again I would add another inch. It sits at my belt on standard jeans. Not high or low. Sent Amanda pics and she thought it looked perfect.... I'll post pics later. I'm on my phone now.
Too bad mine no longer fits.. the problem with getting in shape is baggy jackets..... It looks like maybe an aero b3 may now be cheaper than the schott, which seems suprising.
