Well, I'm in Seattle, so I'm probably on the more expensive side. I'm still not understanding why Mini parts are so much cheaper to ship, unless they get some kind of volume discount on shipping or something.

Could someone tell me (or point me in the right direction) about the finish on vintage G-1's? Specifically Vietnam era? I know they are mostly goatskin (some cow towards the end of the war), but how were they tanned and what is the finish on them? Is it paint? I've done my due dilligence/Google...

Thanks for explaining about the pleat. Also, in the first set of pictures the leather looks quite a bit darker than in the second set with you wearing the jacket. Which would you say is closest to the actual color?
