Is it useful? Hmm... Yes and no. It seems to work really well for keeping the smoke off of your clothes however, the smoke ultimately ends up in your hair. I'd try and perform an experiment for you but it would be a flawed one because if I asked someone to "sniff" me for cigar smell...

Glad to have found this thread! I feel your pain - finding quality smoking jackets was a difficult journey for me. I own a private Cigar Club here in Seattle (very "Speakeasy" like) and one of the member benefits is a custom tailored, velvet smoking jacket. And I'm talking top-shelf design...

Believe it or not, my FIRST Gin & Tonic! I'm a dry Gin martini kind of guy but never tried a G n' T until last night - Spectacular drink!! Bombay Sapphire, Schweppes, and a squeeze of lime (I ran the lime around lip of the glass as well for a nice touch). Too bad I didn't discover this...
