Received a new Hat from John Penman today. This is the 'Penman' from his website, in Rabbit and is Pecan in colored. It is as supple and light as it appears, and is extremely comfortable to wear.

Just received my third custom made Fedora from Timothy Bender. Blue Steel, beaver fur. Offset brim (3" front and back, 2-1/2" on the sides). Crown is 4-5/8" in front wth a nice tight pinch. 5" on the back. Lining is a beautiful scarlet red silk.
As a quick addendum, I have purchased exceptionally well custom made Fedoras from John Penman (1x HH style), and Timothy Bender (2x Fedoras), and I am exceptionally pleased with each of them.
What would the majority consider to be a reasonable price, for a custom made Fedora? I've seen quotes range from around $185.00 for a Rabbit Felt, to as much as $850.00 for a Beaver Felt. (Note... these prices are not from the same maker). I've also seen additional costs for the edge treatment...
Received my new Timothy Bender made Fedora. This one was commissioned for wear in warmer weather. It is made of 100% Rabbit felt, vice the heavier Beaver felts, and is lined with a light silk lining. The color is Silverbelly, and it is a perfect fit. And once again, less than than two weeks...

Bender has been making Fedoras for about two years now (I believe). His skill is just as evident in the Fedoras as they are in his 19th century style hats. (I have one of his 1850's style bell crown top hats):
