I am very certain it is a Beck. Beck jackets have all these features (a slightly curved kidney panel like a Schott), double button collar strap, action swing arms. Is there a tag on the inside collar with some random numbers on it?

again, I wasn't really trying to distress the jacket as much as figuring out how it might age. I am now inclined to not wear this one as much since it was likely chrome tanned and probably wouldn't change much over time.

well that was what i was told when i originally bought it but on closer inspection (after posting to this forum) I am starting to see areas of wear around the main zipper and sleeves. the interesting this is the color is brown instead of blue so I guess chrome tanned leather does eventually fade...

thanks for the reply. Yea I had my suspicions after googling a lot of images. The jacket was relined and so the tag went with it. There area traces of the original lining; most of what is left looks to be black (and this is just on the trim) but there are slivers of a red-orange color so maybe...

Well I wasn't really trying to make it look very distressed, was more curious to see how it would look if it aged; I actually may end up letting it soak in the sun. I posted images of the jacket in another thread. I think it may be a Beck jacket.

I think this may be a Beck cafe racer 666 racing shirt. It has a lot of characteristics: single snap collar but 2 snap ends, bi-swing arms, the curved shape back panel, O-ring zipper pulls, felt pockets, vintage talon zippers. Thanks.

I was trying to "distress" a leather jacket I had purchased. I tried copious amounts 92% alcohol, nail polish remover and while both were able to remove black dye the leather remains black despite this. I tried sandpapering it and all I'm left with is a blue colored roughened leather. The last...
