Hey Marcus, It is now 2019, in November, looks like I may have just bought the same Disney 20, from an e-bay ad.
I guess these hats just revolve around the universe. You still around on the Lounge? Did you sell the hat after a while?

Hi, You have definitely captured interest on this one. Are you selling it, or sharing? Is the stitching on the sweatband
"up and down", or "V"stitching? Thanks, Crabman
Hi, Crabman here, I noticed that a few months ago you bought and then returned this BOTP hat, because it was too
small of a size for you. My hat size is about a 57, so I was thinking about buying the hat, still available on e-bay.
My question is, did you notice if there were any strong odors...
Thanks very much for your thorough reply! I was hoping that this Australian Stetson was closer to 1900-1920,
but obviously Australian Stetsons, and US Stetsons are miles apart, and Akubra has obviously been using the "V" stitch
in more recent times. Having said that, I am wondering then, what...
Here is my dilemma. As far as I know, Stetson stopped using the "V"stitching in their
sweatbands, at about the year 1900, and started using the UP AND DOWN STITCH. I have an old BOSS RAW EDGE hat with the
"V" stitching instead of the UP AND DOWN stitching.
I am trying to date a hat...
I just won this auction this past Sunday, a beautiful hat. Thanks to the person who discovered how to date the hat using the serial numbers! Now I can date the hat!.....crabman
Hi Garrett, my size is a about a 7 ( european, 56, or 57) and I was tempted by the knox and/or the Mallory.......Do you think the 6 7/8 might be too snug? if I wanted to buy this what is the proceedure?
........paypal?...thanks......crabman......(Steve)
Follow-up to all. My local hat store (Goorin) was very nice and put the hat into a stretcher (no steam......thanks) and gave it a gentle stretch.....which worked fine!......Thank you all for your feedback!
.........crabman. Now all I have to do is to continue airing out this nice hat to get...
Hi, Postal Service tracking is a good idea. But! even if the item wasn't insured, I believe the postal service has some responsibility, to leave an item in a secured place! Normally if someone is not
home, the postal carrier should leave you a notice, so you can pick up your item at the local...
Steam and leather do not mix
Thanks jlee562. That is the kind of detailed information that is so extremely helpful. I was thinking about wetting, and flattening with steam or stretching. I think you just saved me from
making a big mistake. I forgot that you can wet leather without...
flattening leather sweatbands
Thanks you all for a quick reply. This situation is a mint, vintage, Stetson stratoliner, except that it has a strong mildew odor. Following Art Fawcets advice on one of the threads, I wiped down the
sweatband with alcohol, (both sides) sprayed the liner with...
