I still love the jacket. Honestly there is no reason to sell. Such a jacket you keep in the family and one day you may give it to your son. Perhaps you could reach out to John as ask him to make you a trimmer version like mine?

I just did a stitch count on my new Goodwear modoc and it is consistently at about 10 as measured around pockets and front vertical seams.

Honestly nothing compares. Hence, I hope that JC hires help (to gather customer specs, order supplies, keep track of schedule, assure proper fit through trial jackets, etc.) so that customers like you don't have to wait 6 years and give up.

That’s the way to test a jacket for John. He makes a sample jacket the first time around or when he makes changes and wants to test them out himself as he wears the size 44. Agree that it looks good on more body types and that’s why I went with it. Ventura is more restrictive/selective. Fit pics coming soon.

About 2.5 years from the initial engagement. We discussed it in more detail in June of 2020 and he promised to deliver a jacket in the next 6-7 months, which he did.

John made me a Modoc in size 40. A zipper is nos double slider crown #7. The hide is Shinki light russet, which is quite darker than older batches (too much sake during Covid?). The lining is nos english rayon. What can I say, the jacket is spectacular. I have a Brunello Cucinelli leather...
