    Vintage Photos of Leather Jackets

I think that was a cowhide but I don't remember. The horse will be just like the ones in the pics on this page after breaking in.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Boy that takes me back. If you ever want me to put some cat's-eye buttons on it send it to me and I will update it for free. Cheers Mark

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Hey Edward- can you drop me some pics of that jacket? It was the first pattern I made just from doing research and trying to gauge fit and style just from Lincoln Brigade pics. I was Superior Flight Apparel and I loved that label and name, but it was a little too 50's for most of my jackets so I...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

You know, it just makes me feel good inside to see one of my jackets being worn all the way over on the other side of the world. From my hands and sewing machine in Minneapolis to you in Australia. Mark (NorShor)

How do jacket makers create their sewing patterns?

Modern patterns are completely different from vintage. I make mine using original period jackets. Making a basic pattern is not difficult but grading is the tricky part. It is incredibly time consuming when you are trying to replicate a specific jacket. It helps to be obsessive and get your...

    Norshor Leather

MAN I wish I had that last two pics above when I was working on that thing years ago. I only had the first pic and was guestimating what the right side looked like. Now I can see it has 2 small matching pockets in addition to the D pocket and it has the striped '30's knits. Pretty darn cool.

Alpha Replica B-15C 44- Fixing the length

Hi- this is something anyone with a razor and a pair of scissors could easily do. No sewing machine required, everything could be hand stitched back together. ALSO I have no idea for sure if this applies to other jackets in the series, or even other size 44's (disclaimer...)

Alpha Replica B-15C 44- Fixing the length

I don' think this would work with a regular Alpha jacket- Only the replica series

Alpha Replica B-15C 44- Fixing the length

Hello I've had this size 44 for a long time but never really wore it as the length is just too short. For those who don't know the Alpha Replica series was only made for a year or so and is worlds above the Alpha Vintage Series. The size 44 is more of a 48-50 to start with. I'm 6' and the back...

The D-1 that will not die...

I picked up this original a few years ago- it was complete but the zipper was wrong, finish was completely worn off, etc. I first repainted the finish and added a NOS Talon and started wearing it around. Almost immediately the shoulder ripped. So I patched that. Then I noticed the windflap was...

Cockpit 1936 RUSSET shearling flying boots size 9-9.5

Finally admitting to myself that these are too small- I wear a size 10. The width is OK, but they are not long enough. Russet flying boots made in England for Cockpit/Avirex back on the 80's. Good condition, have been refinished at some point. Vibram soles that are easily removed for the...
