Great caps Che, it's nice to see the tradition of hats being passed on. This particular cap is an etsy cration by a user from the uk who goes by the screen name "moaning minnie." It's wool and serves as one of my best grab and go casual caps.

The oldest hat I own is a kangol "dazzle" herringbone 504. While ive only had it for about five years the fact that it still gets plenty of wear now that I only buy handmade to order hats is a testament to how nice it is.

Don't be afraid to try a fuller cap I have a narrow face and still find that I prefer caps with generous proportions they have a more vintage look then what's commonly sold today and in my view they represent more value for the money (more fabric, larger hat.)

I second that good houndstooth seems harder to come by then herringbone and some other styles. Kind of a shame really.

I've thought about buying from these folks but as yet I don't know of anyone on here who owns one of their caps and can vouch for the brands quality.

The extra material makes a huge and positive difference in my eyes.
