It also isn't wool flannel or a gabardine, its a very tightly woven linen/silk blend fabric, similar to a worsted. The whole suit is like nothing I've ever seen before.

Agreed, this section of the Lounge is only helping jack up the prices on auctions and is completely unnecessary. Most of the items posted on here are easy enough to find on eBay anyway since they are correctly listed too...pointless.
I live in Los Angeles and am also a student, and for that price you can probably find a vintage suit(depending on your size) for around that much maybe more maybe less. I'd save your money. If for future reference would like the names of stores to check out let me know.
