If I’d had a at least a couple of seasons wear before the hole appeared it wouldn’t have bothered me so much, however, as I’d only had a few months I felt the wear was a bit premature given I was only wearing the jacket an average of once a week.

It’s not the hole in the sateen it’s the drill band used to cover it. It bugs me. In hindsight I should’ve just left it alone as I preferred the original look of the liner all the way down to the hem. That is why I am considering a new liner.

Ok guys, something to consider methinks, I think I might have preferred leather on the hem to drill but they never gave me a choice. Regards Jaffa

Hi Mike, it was when I realized it was from the jacket and not the belt as I can always just stop wearing the belt. As it is yes, I can live with it, as long as it does not get any worse.

Hi Peacoat, now you mention it I will keep an eye out for it.

My concern is that if it continues it will ruin the look of the lining but from what you are saying this is only to be expected? This is my first Aero horsehide so maybe I am on a learning curve. I have other leather jackets I have owned for years with lots of wear but never had this happen.

Ah, that's Zout is. Thanks Mike but I think I will just live with the stain, but, just in case I change my mind, is Zout likley to cause a fades patch on the sateen lining?
