Hi Mike, it was when I realized it was from the jacket and not the belt as I can always just stop wearing the belt. As it is yes, I can live with it, as long as it does not get any worse.
My concern is that if it continues it will ruin the look of the lining but from what you are saying this is only to be expected? This is my first Aero horsehide so maybe I am on a learning curve. I have other leather jackets I have owned for years with lots of wear but never had this happen.
Hello all, I begun a different thread a few weeks ago concerning a dark stain on the wine colored lining of my new Aero Highwayman. At the time I believed the stain was a dye transfer from a black leather belt of mine but now, after going through some old threads, I feel pretty certain the stain...
Ah, that's Zout is.
Thanks Mike but I think I will just live with the stain, but, just in case I change my mind, is Zout likley to cause a fades patch on the sateen lining?
Thanks guys, no, I have no intention of ever selling the jecket so perhaps marc is right, just accept it as charecter and not be so OCD about it.
Cheers
Jaffa
Hello, I have recently bought a horse hide highwayman from Aero and it is awsome! Although the weather is warming up now I still wear it as much as possible, however, a small dark stain has appeard on the lining at belt level which I know to be dye from a black leather belt I wear with my jeans...
Hi again, well, decision made, I sent back the B6 and exchanged it for a Highwayman in black tumbled horsehide and I am very pleased. When I spoke to Chloe at Aero it was "sure, send it back and tell what you'd like instead." No quibbling-just outstanding service.
Thanks Dude, yeah, I know photos would help but the simple truth is that the made to measure b6 I got from Aero just does not fit me properly.
Hl, I would get some pics on here if the jacket looked too tight when worn but it looks fine. The problem is how it feels around my stomach when fully...
Thanks Toomany and Marc, Marc, thanks for the tip but I agree with toomany and I am simply not prepared to stuff around and risk ruining the jacket and rendering it unsaleable. I will see if Aero contact me and what they say. No more made to measure leather jackets for me now methinks!
Hello, I have just received my new Aero B6 sheepskin jacket and I fear it is too tight around stomach area. I asked Aero to use the exact same measurements I gave them for my Aero pre war Irvin a few years ago, which is a perfect fit, with the additional instructions to make the new B6 a looser...
I agree with belfastboy and deadlyhandsome, the point with my snowy was that it was stuffed into a box that was too narrow for the width of brim and too shallow for the crown height so became deformed. If a new hat is packed properly it should not make a difference how long it is in the box, it...
