    Favorite Song/Quote

Help Please - Anyone know where this song lyric is from? I can find variations of this song lyric but not this one specifically. Can anyone help me find the song/artist it's from? Ashes to ashes and dust to dust, If the women don't get you, the liquor must. Any ideas gratefully received.

    Pencil Mustache

Errol Flynn because he used to hula dance naked in front of the window for the girls at the factory gates opposite. He wouldn't have dared without his pencil moustache.

    Cowboy Boots

I have a pair of old alligator skin boots, USA made, that look great and wear very well. Bought them second hand for about $300 a few years ago but haven't seen a new pair that I could ever afford.

Getting Cigarrete smell out of leather jacket

Vodka is the answer I was once given a tip by a theatrical costume designer to spray Vodka on clothing. She hated using fabreze cause of it's aftersmell and swore by Vodka which is odourless in itself and removes all traces of other stinks. I've never had call to try it but let me know if...

How many own a vintage suit?

So many folk compliment my one vintage suit and want to know where I got it from. They think it's Saville Row finery rather than charity shop thrift. I got real lucky there though, a wonderful charity shop in Scotland, haven't seen another as fine that fits me since. If anyone can recommend...

    Stage Plays of the 30's & 40's

I'm really interested in the stage plays of the 30's & 40's. Many of which were regularly made into movies, hence my posting this thread here. Does anyone know of any lesser known plays of this period? Or any companies that put them on? Anyone seen any productions? I'm thinking of the...

"Classic Oxfords", does anyone have these shoes?

I have worn these in the past and found them very comfortable. They get used in a lot of period theatre shows and are a great finishing touch to a costume.
