My wife has a sweater drying rack I considered using after washing it. It has a small fan that drys at a cool temp in order to prevent delicate fabrics from shrinking, so I thought it would be fine for the jacket.

Also, I was going to check in with Gail over in the Schott forums for some information about the jacket, but I saw she mentioned she was on vacation at the moment so I didn't want to bother her (and she said she doesn't have access to her old catalogs). I'll try and see if she knows anything...

Yeah, that was my first thought. As you can see in the pictures there's not much in the way of a model number or any other information about the jacket itself on the tags. On the opposite of the care tag there's the original owners name and address handwritten, and on the size tag it looks...

My concern was never authenticity, so you may be right about that. But saying "A-2" is easier than "collared bomber jacket with two large front pockets."
