Great points, Doc. I also think this one is a keeper for sure and I’ll stick with the sleeve length on this particular jacket.
This forum has done absolutely nothing but fuel my desire for the next “step up” in quality, fit and finish of a G1. :)
Thanks Tropicalbob! The little extra sleeve length does help when I’ve got a light sweater underneath. In realty I’d probably need a size 38 sleeve with a 40 body.
Thanks Robinray. I gave the jacket sleeves some HWT treatment today and I can actually smell leather now, not chemicals! Perhaps that’s the trick to getting some of that finish off.

Thanks for the info Mojo. I totally appreciate it and keep trying to come up with an excuse to get over to Seattle so I can check out your shop! I'll check out the Dr. Jackson's for sure.
Thanks for the info HD...that's why I'm nervous about what product and how much to use. I'm considering doing a very small test patch somewhere on the jacket that isn't highly visible just to see how it turns out.

A2's can totally be worn by younger guys and not look "dad-ish." Remember, it's the whole package, not just the jacket. The A2 worn with a nice, worn pair of Redwings or other work-boots, Levi's with the cuffs rolled up, a light sweater, with a pearl snap vintage shirt underneath and scarf would...
Thanks for the great compliments guys. I'm going to wear it and enjoy the heck out of it. After all, I've never felt so cool while wearing this jacket with a sweater vest in my entire life...haha!
