    What are you wearing today??

Hello chap, it's wearing okay I reckon, although I've only had it on a coupla times. On the plus side, they did eventually replace the duff and wrinkly white version with another cream one, and the spearpoint collar is a nice size – it even develops a pleasing little roll when the bones are out...

    What are you wearing today??

My DJ pard Louie and I were spinning hep wax at the Bath in Fashion Vintage Clothing Fair yesterday... here I am clutching my 1940s Astatic D-104 mic, and behind the machine I call 'Phonohenge'... had on my vintage Hong Kong-tailored country three-piece, a cream Adam of London spearpoint shirt...

    Show Us Your Purchases....GUYS !

Am still freelancing, so money's tight, but I splashed out a whole £13 (around $18US) on this nifty post-WWII pilot's bag, which is the perfect size for a weekend away... Mrs Badger kindly snapped the original owner's ID card, quite the gent by the look of it – the vendor wanted £150 for Flight...

    Post New Hats Here!

Picked up this old English boater while in Lancashire last weekend, the ribbon was a complete write-off so I made myself two swappable replacements, in blue and brown, matching the size/style of the original bow... am looking forward to the summer so I can wear it with my seersucker suit and...

    Vintage Western Belts

Thanks a LOT for this, Dinerman, really awesome! I kinda knew that the 'jewels and studs' style went back to the '30s but not quite as early as '33... funny how many modern belts of this type are really heavily embellished, whereas the earlier ones were more tasteful, I think... I try to emulate...

Saddle Shoe Wearers, What Do You Wear? (Men)

Most of the pairs I've had over the years have come from Ebay, they've been of variable quality. Generally, with saddle shoes, you get what you pay for – for irregular 'lightweight' use, then Bass knockoffs with a brick red rubber sole, which is usually of fairly ropey quality, are okay. I'm...

    Return of the high waist?

You really know when you've been wearing properly-waisted trousers/khakis/selvedge denim when you try a 'modern' cut and they feel akin to 1960s 'hipsters'. For instance, I bagged a mint condition 'Timothy Everest' worsted wool suit from one of our local charity shops today for £15, it's perfect...

'Convertible' collar shirts" Trelegant by Walbusch

Ah, I suspected that there may have been a precedent, nice to have some confirmation, thanks! I guess that Walbusch are either the only non-bespoke shirtmakers with this type of collar – and are therefore 'known' for it in Germany, much in the same way that Turnbull & Asser have their own...

'Convertible' collar shirts" Trelegant by Walbusch

Apologies for the poor quality of the pics, and the lack of a clean shave (it's another week of DIY/home improvement for me!) 'selfies' are so dashed difficult, especially around dusk with a borrowed 'iPoo'... you can see the collar makeup relatively clearly here, and then I put a 1940s silk tie...

'Convertible' collar shirts" Trelegant by Walbusch

Apologies, gents, but seeing as my German is virtually non-existent, 'convertible' seemed the only way to describe it – ie it can be worn with a necktie, open or semi-spread... You're right, herringbonekid, it doesn't have a top button, and yes Mr Lyles, it's a two-piece collar. According to...

'Convertible' collar shirts" Trelegant by Walbusch

Found a brand new, tags-on 100% cotton shirt at one of our local charity (thrift) shops yesterday – made by a German firm called Walbusch who I've never heard of before, and it's got a convertible collar, something I haven't seen on a modern shirt... The nice little booklet attached to the...

    What are you wearing today??

Cheers chap! VERY glad to have got the correct US size for Mrs Badger's boots, she's between UK sizes so it's always tricky! The velour's really nice, apparently made by the same Czech hatters (the oldest extant in Europe) who do Stetson Europe's titfers... here's a slightly better view of it...

    What are you wearing today??

The now traditional 'on the bridge en route to the pub prior to drunkenly cooking Christmas lunch' shot, wearing my new black velour Suquehana 'Hannay' fedora, a present from Mrs Badger... Mrs Badger, meanwhile, was modelling the 'pee wee' western boots I got her for Christmas...
