I've had a similar experience with the oblong neckhole when I was breaking in my HH CXL premier HWM. It has now gone away, but I could definitely feel it when it was new. Obviously the jacket doesn't have the most insane mobility but it is certainly mobile enough for me to wear around all day...

Yeah, people always talk about how amazing the JL patterns are, so maybe the break in won't be so bad. My break-in with my horse CXL Aero was pretty tough...hopefully OP's break in won't be too insane! The jacket looks amazing though

Cotton sateen or cotton drill would probably fit what you're looking for best. I'm very fond of cotton drill, nice hard-wearing stuff. I also dont find the lightweight Lochcarron tartan that warm and it has the bonus of many different options

That was me...sorry, I didn't know what I was doing and was just having fun with it. For what it's worth I did have fun and moved the jacket along. Didn't know me playing designer would make me such a living legend (not in a good way haha). I hope I didn't offend you, I honestly didn't know...
