Thanks for the help everyone! Here it is! I like it....now granted she had to take the flat iron to it, but when you have hair this short, I don't think you have to worry about damage as much. I'll have to go back so often for trims (i.e.- 4 to 6 weeks) that damage isn't as much a concern I'm...
Oh thank you! I wish you had a pic of your mom with the cut. It's so darn hard to visualize what it will look like on me. I'm hoping it will be lower maintenance yet still fun, professional, or whatever I want it to be you know? I'm just so tired of this mane of hair I have around my head...
My hair is wavy/curly. I can make it go really curly if I scrunch a lot, but otherwise it just waves mostly. I'm thinking about whacking it off really short. Can I get some opinions/suggestions? Would I look ok with it?
Here's my pic currently:
Here's what I'm thinking about doing...
Well the only reason I'm really concerned is that I'm growing my hair out and want to prevent damage as much as possible. Yet I'm in a profession where I have to look "done up." Ok ok...and I like looking "done up". ;) The hot rollers I don't think are as bad as my old flat iron was, but I...
So is it general consensus that you can put something in your wet hair and let it dry and it still protect from heat until you wash it out? I was always under the impression that you had to put it in right before the heat. Hmm...interesting concept.
Well granted I have a spray from a brand here called Jane Carter, but I have to wonder how much heat protection it is giving me.
I wish wet sets were an option, but I'd have to sleep in it due to my work schedule. I wouldn't get any sleep! LOL.
I guess I should try to be grateful for...
Agreed CR.....I'm in the South of the US. So no dice. :( I may have to settle for a setting spray with water soluble silicones. That might not be so bad. Only problem is most of them are for "heat protection" and don't even offer a little hold.
I've been setting my hair with my bedhead hot roller set, and I need product obviously to keep from damaging my hair and to hold the curl just a bit before I put the curlers in. I don't want anything with heavy hold....something light. I would like it to be a "natural brand" like JASON...
Thanks ladies for all the help! I look forward to your pictures too! Pictures have inspired me to do what I've done so far...not much I know, but trust me, it's huge for someone whose hair lives in a claw clamp lol
Thank you Tatum for the updated picture graph too! :)
Ack! I must've missed that...sorry. That's just shocking, though, that it is the longest one!
I mean I like having nicely rolled curls as much as the next gal, but it's just not feasible everyday. I have to have those days that I put the hair up in a clamp and run out the door. I...
Thanks...I had seen that, but I think she got hers cut in one of the shorter middy's....I was hoping someone that had long long hair had gotten it done with the longer layers in ya know? I'm not looking to go quite as short as she did in the video. I'm curious to know how it would look...
I love that conditioner! I saw you could buy it separately when I picked up the dye. It is so nice...my hair gets so shiny with it. I think since I wash my hair 2-3x a week tho that I can get by using it every wash hehe...at least that's what I'm telling myself. ;)
I'll pick up that root...
