Did you pull back the white insie liner to look for any labels or grease pencil writing? The size label referred to above is under that liner, if it is there. If the hat was ever cleaned and reblocked then the sweatband could have been removed and the cleaning may have washed off any writing and...

I hat a really nice Resistol I was wearing while tractor mowing get knocked off by a branch and go right under the shredder/mower. That stitiching looks like the pattern needed to fix that.

I would think it is 20 years or little bit more. The font and style of the sweatband attached label shown changed in late 90's or early 2000's. The quality of the straw hats also worsened not long after that too.
