Thank you! It’s “just” an OGL belt from Iron Heart. Pretty much my go-to. Have one in black as well.
I did them very solid value for money. A heavy solid brass buckle and chunky, thick leather.
I agree that this is not according to current specs.
Best way would be to resch out to LL and let them judge if it can be an older set-up. Patch size and zippers should be easy to pin down.
I can’t add anything by way of explaining, but I had two jackets that showed the exact same abrasion characteristics.
One is a Vanson Comp weight and one the Iron Heart racer with a chrome tanned leather that was among the finest I had handled.
Both very substantial, full grain leathers with...
As I said in the WJAYWT thread: this is so über-great, that I cannot really put it in words.
I absolutely love every single detail of it, but perhaps more than anything else it pours and solidifies all that is cool and daring about the wearer into one jacket.
AMAZING work by one of our own...
I believe they are worried that a lot of packages will get stuck at customs until the situation solidifies.
Just doesn’t pay off to have a potentially huge backlog of deliveries just because even custom officials are unable to process ever new rules.
Oh wow, that interesting.
I would have said same size as the Vibergs or +0,5 for thicker socks.
To the best of my knowledge, RMW uses British sizing, so a 9 RMW equals a 10 US equals a 43 Euro.
My craftsman are 9 and 9,5, and I’d size the larger one equals a size ten Red Wing or Viberg.
Never handled Nicks myself. The Horween Cypress Brown looks nice and already shows a lot of potential. The darker one is a better fit with the RC colour wise, but this is something I don’t care that much anymore.
Yes, a unique piece!
I was tempted (in fact there is one in my size still available), but I have the kakishibu Chore Coat and while I like the details on this iteration better (snap buttons work so much better on heavy leather, and the gussets help with a better drape), that really covers this...
I’ve yet to see pictures of aged Bainbridge (any colour’ too.
I assume, you are ordering through TB, so maybe ask Carrie for some pictures with aged examples?
I have also never seen Bainbridge in the flesh. With photos I am always torn between, “Wow, that looks great!”, and “Uh, that looks a...
Wow! So you managed to get your hand on one. Very nice!
I was super tempted, but I am somewhat trying to stay clear from TJ’s super-duper limited runs. To stressful and expensive.
Joking aside, looks killer and should patina spectacularly.
In all fairness, nothing about the system has changed. There’s always been (local, regional, state, federal) taxes and there’s always been tariffs and customs fees.
And they have always been added after the purchase has crossed the customs border.
The only thing that’s changed is the extent of...
Yes, this sole config looks the bomb!
This seems to be the same leather as I have in my OG boots.
AFAIK, RMW went through three stages:
- Original: only available leather was a super robust, pliable fatty kangaroo leather. Brown and black only, both rather dull but indestructible.
- Sold to...
