I had a Professor of Romantic Poetry in undergraduate school who told me that manners were little courtesies. And while I may be radical in some things, I am a bit old fashioned about etiquette. With that in mind, and of course meaning no disrepect to other posters, here are some rules...
the felt is soft but holds its shape well, the snap brim is nice. i was pleasantly surprised by the quality, considering the price. the sweat band isnt high quality. it came with a feather and a hat pin which i took off. the quality is similar to the biltmore hat i got at vhs...

hats are chick magnets. while not quite as good as a puppy, more often than not i get a nice smile when a woman sees me in my fedora. :fedora: "nice hat" is something i have heard too.

i think there may be an unintended drift into stereotypical thinking in this thread. it is mistaken to suggest that jewish people "all go for black" hats. for most jewish people neither religious beliefs or cultural traditions require the wearing of black hats. most jewish people who wear hats...
