Was going through my shoes and discovered a pair of Aldo vintage inspired shoes I haven't worn in a long time. I've lost weight since I bought them so I now have to stuff them so that they don't slide off my feet. I found an image of it on Google

I've just ordered these from Zappo's in white and beige to try out. I can't decide if they are retro or grandmotherly. (I think my grandmother had a pair just like them.) Modcloth carries them in navy. Wörishofer, made in Germany. ETA: it looks like the younger set caught on to them a while ago.

Those are neat shoes. Wörishofer also makes a laceup style that is probably more retro but I just didn't feel like going there.

Has anyone ever purchased Blyer shoes? I'm not 100% on what size to get. They say to order 1 full size bigger on the website. This is the style I will be ordering if that helps.

I commented in the other thread, but I seem to remember Blyers having a bad track record for holding up well. These look rather plastic-y. My suggestion would be do to some research (find reviews of people that own them) before purchase.

The Worishofer shoes are cute, but the toe opening is very wide, so they don't really look like a vintage shoe when on the foot.

Thanks for pointing that out. Now that I go back and look at pictures of actual vintage shoes, I see that you are right.

The Worishofers look vintage, even if they're not spot on. I've bought Worishofer every year for the past few years because they are extremely comfortable. I can wear them all day at Disneyland. Only problem with them is the cork heel gets a bit ratty by the end of summer.

I've been on the look out for a pair of grey and white saddle shoes like the ones pictured here http://images4.fanpop.com/image/pho...Married-kathleen-turner-22616642-1600-897.jpg and have not found them yet. I tried Ebay, Etsy, and muffies. I was wondering if there is a way to have saddle shoes coustom made.

In the early 1960s what kind of saddles shoes were worn?, I have not been able to track down a pair of 1960s saddle shoes. I've only seen 1940s-1950s.

I was in Junior high 1962-1964 and we wouldn't have been caught dead in Saddle shoes. They were totally out of fashion! At least here in Southern California. We only wore flats.
