This has always been one of those colors that are hard to define. When I look at blue smoke, I see predominately blue, but others see mostly grey. The new confederate is at least a shade darker than blue smoke. I could have probably passed it off as a new blue smoke but why not something fresh? You are right Frunobulax, it has blue overtones but is actually more grey than blue smoke.

Sure looks a LOT like the vintage Dobbs you just restored for me. Perhaps a bit darker. Confederate is an accurate color description.

...but is it politically correct to call it "Confederate" Grey...?

THanks Bob, you & the Ms. need to come to So Oregon next weekend. We are having a "Grand Opening" on Saturday with live band, refreshments, tv coverage ( I think) , and the party is on!!!

That sounds like a blast Art! Sadly next weekend we are set to volunteer with the Olympic national park for some research, so we won't be able to make it down. I have a trip slated to Bend early next month, if we can fit it in I would love to try and swing over to meet up.
