One of those rare Stetson Standard Quality hats that didn't come from Geo. Eakle's place in Phila ;^) Posted with my favorite photo of all time on the occasion of what would have been my Mom's 92nd birthday. Happy birthday Mom, wherever you are.

Thanks Richard. I have a few nice ties. I had to go with the two hat day today as I while I was out grocery shopping I stopped at my favorite thrifts monthly half price sale. And picked up this custom tailored in Japan blazer.

Now I just have to figure out how to work an S into my monogram. Ha ha.

Have a good one,

Just tell everyone it's Superman's.
Fabulous find, Mike! Don't concern yourself about that monogram unless, that is, people start saying they like your "S!"
Just tell folks that it is an S overlaying an F.

And it stands for...

SUPER FREAK.

I might worry that Superman would hear about the claim.

I've been trying to come up with a good club name that I could use to finish out a shield on the pocket.

Thanks Charlie. The original owner was in the Navy from '64 to '84. Given the styling on this I'm thinking he picked it up on his first posting to Japan in the mid-60s.

Very dapper Michael
Thanks LevendiPaul.

Thanks all for the likes and comments,
Michael

Smoking up a storm today. Sunny and warm, relatively speaking. Chuck roast, then pork ribs. Should keep me in protein for few days.

The Cavanagh Homburg needs fresh air so I wore it with a light jacket and a baby blue button down shirt while out running errands (but not around the smoky Traeger grill).

Matt, you are single handedly going to bring back the feather hat band. Looks great.
Thanks Richard

Oh good... At least then folks will know who to throw the fruits and vegetables at.
Nice one Matt.

I assume the Peawolf and the Huggy Bear are best friends? [emoji14]
Thanks Harv.

Indeed they are.

S for SUPER! Love that color. It looks to be a warmer winter coat.
