I'm afraid it's really much too small to work on me
I'd really been looking forward to this hat too.
The hat is a 1920s/ 1930s Essman.
On the sweatband, the stamped logo reads
"Genuine
Essman
reg. us. pat. off.
waterproof
(essman process)"
The hat is marked a size 7-1/4 (which is why I bought it in the first place), but is much smaller than that. The sweatband measures out at a size 7.
The hat has some stains on it (all of which you can see in the pictures), but it is still pliable, and unlike some hats of this age, has no cracking on it.
The price is now $60 shipped within the United States.
