I notice you have a bid so I will track through ebay. It looks like some loose sweat stitching. Can you comment do you think the sweat is going to need re-stitching soon?

I don’t know what they called this feature. The felt is scalloped and the normal stitching of the sweatband stops in the area at the front of the hat where the scalloping is. However, the sweatband is still attached in the region, but it’s not sewn in the same manner as the rest of the band. I’ve seen the scalloped felt before but I never found out what it was. I also don’t know why the sweatband isn’t stitched all the way around as is common. This does not look to be a flaw, but some feature of the hat. I’ll ask around and see if others can explain it to me/us.

It's the "Air Vac" ventilation feature. Borsalino also has a front vent system on some of their hats.
