I'm thinking of getting an overcoat custom made. Does anyone have any vintage patterns for a full-length overcoat they'd be willing to sell, or know where I could find such information? Thanks, -M

Basically, yeah. That's what I'm going to do; except, based on my research materials, I'll have cuffs, belts, re-worked lapels, etc. added to the new pattern to give it the period look I'm after...

Why not simply instruct the tailor to incorporate the design features that you like into a properly fitted coat. You might bring some photos along for illustration.

BTW, if you're hellbent on using a vintage pattern, Oxxford's pattern archive goes back to the 20's. Though you'd have to visit their Chicago workrooms for fittings.
