It is pristine, and just heavenly. Unfortunately it is far too big for me, so back on ebay it will be going. The print is just wonderful too... it is hung in my wardrobe taunting me. I considered taking it in but it would just destroy the dress. It cost me about £11, so $23ish. If anyone is...
I know - even the belt! I'm still in shock that I managed to get my mits on it, I put in my highest bid and ran away, so many times I've lost in those last few seconds, but not this time. That baby is all mine. Postal services willing. Time for me to start my safe journey chanting ;)
Thank...
I was watching that hat too, but after my recent splurge have put myself on an ebay fast. It's a stunner, sorry you missed it!
Oh I still dream of that hat, nice to know it went to a London lady! Maybe I'll see you in town with it on, and resist the urge to grab it and run ;) You lucky soul...
This is my latest purchase. I still have post win high I'm so happy... its the most beautiful item I have seen in ages so I sniped at the last minute. My adoration makes me feel a little less guilty about this.
So perfect I could cry...
Now really, how can I bar...
and theres more.
I have no idea what vintage this is, and as its not arrived yet I can't judge any better from the materials, but its just so cute! I've not seen a scarf holder like this before, and its the logo for the band I work for too so I just had to have it.
its just...
I haven't been shopping on ebay for a while, I've been preoccupied with some very nice vintage fairs draining my funds here in town, but I had some overtime in the bank and time on my hands and well.... I'm looking forward to the postman arriving lol
Just look at that beading...
I'm relying on my dodgy memory, so please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain that the notion of cup sizes only started in the late 30's/40's, and ran either A, B, C or A, B, C, D (I saw it in an advert in an old compy of Woman magazine from the 40's, hence my sketchy...
I never wear fabrics that cling - no lycra, no stretch. Which pretty much rules out all modern knitwear, other than those sold by Marks and Spencers. Good old M&S...
I don't have any rules on colours, I got lucky with my genetics so I can wear pretty much anything. Things I will never wear...
I've been meaning to order shoes from him for quite a while, I'm rather excited to see he has new shoes on the way.... perhaps I will wait a little longer and see what he comes up with.
Thats for the link to the clothes, I see at least one outfit I would love to have made for me, and thats...
Ah I know exactly where you mean. I got some wonderful 40's patterns and a heavenly hat from Cloud Cuckoo Land round the corner a couple of weeks ago. You can pick up some realy treasures in that area. I shall certainly make a point of taking a closer look at Dreamtime next time I head that way...
shamefully, I've done the same thing. On my 25th birthday whilst 2manydj's were playing, the rest of the room was dancing, I was curled up asleep in the speaker... how I managed it I don't know. Its a London wide skill, the ability to sleep anywhere. When I first moved here, the sight of people...
Quite frankly I don't know how to dress any other way. I work for a rather stuffy old British medical organisation in their conference department which involves me quite often coming into contact with the great and the good in medicine over here. I wear 30's to 50's suits with blouses and smart...
Myself and my best friend being two of them! I'm more 40s/early 50s, where she tends to be more bad girl 50s through to mod 60s. Our home is 60% vintage too, so it became the norm for us long ago and if you don't feel odd in what you are doing then what the rest of the world doesn't really...
Cripes those shoes are just stunning.
I lost a pair a few weeks ago that have been playing on my mind ever since. Gorgeous, off white platforms with a double ankle strap.
This story has a happy ending though. The sale I lost fell through, and last night I was the highest bidder, and...
I just bought a pair with taps, and since I wear my shoes down on the outside too they are a godsend. Plus they are the comfiest shoes I have ever worn. My feet are not happy when I try to put them into my modern repros...
xx
I've never had any problems with them and I've been buying almost all my underwear from them for a couple of years now. The seamed stockings are just wonderful, as is the control wear they sell. I can't recommend them highly enough!

My latest aquisitions on good old ebay. I must get around to taking photos of my non ebay purchases really...
I paid a little more than normal on this, but I just couldn't resist. Its in pristine condition apparently, and such cute buttons!
Furniture eyecandy from 1954! The...
I started wearing vintage when I was about 16, a combination of it being in a price bracket that suited my student purse, different to what everyone else was wearing (I've never liked looking like my peers) and actually would fit me. Clothes from high street shops just didn't work, I had this...
