My cousin spend some months in the czech republic last year and gave me this as a gift. It´s a beer soap and smells fabulous. The best bar soap I ever had. It was shaped like a piece of cake which made it even more awesome :).
Ok, I pack my things and move to Sweden. Now! ;) I hope you´ll show the dress when it´s done? I can´t even imagine sewing a (fancy) dress from that period. Too much work. But so beautiful...
I see what you mean about getting followers. Initially I didn´t want to get a tumblr at all because I already have an illustration blog running but I´ve been reading more and more illustration tumblrs over the last few months so i figured I could as well sign in, follow them all directly and...
Do any of you ladies have a tumblr? I just signed in mostly for illustration stuff but also follow some vintage picture collections and would like to have some more focussing on 20s-50s. Here´s mine.
An ushanka always seems like a good idea in a real winter situation. Plus I like their look when the flaps are worn down :)
@Tishkaminx: please forget everything I said about the fur hat I´m selling. It seems like some moth tried its teeth on it during the last months without my notice...
@tishkaminx: I´m trying to sell a vintage fur hat for little money, maybe you are interested?

Or a knitted turban...

Great choice! :)
@Flicka: I love the brooch. Would be interesting to see it on a collar.
Here´s what I got today:
Maybe someone can help me date them? I´d say late 50s/early 60s for the first and 70s for the second one, but I´m not sure.
Flicka, your set looks lovely. I very much like the length on you.
I got les bettie bangs:
happy happy happy! :)
I also got my middy cut but didn´t set it yet. So I have no idea if she did it right.
Btw, I took this picture without glasses to check if my eyes really look smaller with...
TheRedSquare: As always I´m green with envy when I look at your brows. What do you use to make em look like that? I hope you don´t mind me asking. Your hair´s perfection, too.
angeljenny: looks perfectly vintage to me, not over the top. It just shows that you put a lot of work and love into...
Ok, I must admit the 50s-Videos gave me a good laugh. Most of the frames weren´t wearable in my eyes, not now, not then. But I really liked the darker frame in the 30s video.
As I´m wearing a pretty thick black frame and have small eyes I use a little more eyeliner to make them look bigger. But...
