Well thank you, DJH! I think so. I wished I had more to post but I almost never wear anything else. I'm either in this or a cowboy hat. This time of year when I'm only wearing a shirt to be polite to you folks, it's just this hat and shorts. Period. Hopelessly addicted to my beater....
The Artist hard(ly) at work sportin' his Resistol Conversion (modeled it after the Akubra Bushman). I don't even know why I post anymore. I've got almost a dozen other hats and for the last two years, this is about all I wear......anybody else have this problem with "Addicted to your Beater"...

edited to add: There's even the bloody DC-3 on the ad itself but to my best knowledge and poking around, THIS is a vintage ad so the argument is mute and therefore this style existed pre-Indiana Jones........to a "T"...
I agree with you to a point, Monbla but this vintage ad I found for the very maker of Indy's Raider's Hat shows just how unoriginal Lucas and Spielberg actually were. Right down to the leather jacket and the Hat's crease seemingly robbed directly from this very ad from the 30's.
