    G-1 Drop

The sizing of Cockpit different G-1 models is different. Try all of them and you'll probably find the perfect fit for you :) Their vintage G-1 is tighter than the mil spec.

    Anj-3 makers?

Hi Kelorgo! Where are they made now? China? The comments on their web say the jacket is too thin. I don't know. I prefer to spend more in a quality jacket. Yeah, I definitely have to try Pop's stuff someday. A removable thinsulate liner is very appealing to me. Do they have any web page to...

Vintage Things That Have Disappeared In Your Lifetime?

In my town there isn't any movie theater any more. It used to be at least 3 of them but they recycled them. Now are gyms and parking lots[huh] I only knew these theaters when child actually. There isn't a single public phone on the streets either. You're lost without a cell phone.

    Anj-3 makers?

I'm planning to purchase an Anj-3 jacket :) with no epaulets  I have found this one but the comments are not too convincing; http://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/product/9086 and I really like this one but I don't want any patches or paint...

    G-1 Drop

Similar chest/waist measurements here but I have big shoulders too. I purchased The Cockpit Mil Spec in Size 42 and it fits me like second skin. I had to cut the sleeves though. G-1 bi-swing back is perfect too address shoulders problem.

    Famous People in Flight Jackets

I think this is as a result of the photography. Sometimes, you can't tell what color is a jacket from a movie because images are post-produced. In a lot of vintage photos, A2s look dark seal and in reality there where much more variety.

    Enemy Aliens During WW2

I guess an Italian-American had to be a real suspect to end up interned. Italian-Americans collaborated intensively with the FBI during WWII. Mobsters like Luciano helped to take Sicilia and unblocked NY docks. And many of them joined the US army. One of the US top aces during WWII was Capt...

Strange Superstitions and The Superstitious Among Us

You have a point there. I hate ties. I always thought the same thing. Why in earth do I have to put this rag around my neck. It is irrational!

    Why!!!! Hipsters!!! Why!!!!!

I already warned that it wasn't anything special! :p My point was that a band is not "hipster" just because they dress like hipsters. BTW, I don't find them that horrible in comparison with the rest of bands in this list...

Strange Superstitions and The Superstitious Among Us

This is the kind of thing that probably has a perfectly rational explanation. For instance, let's say that in Orange County the weather changes abruptly between May and June. Elderly people are more likely to suffer a heatstroke. Therefore, ditch the superstition thing and keep them well...

    Why!!!! Hipsters!!! Why!!!!!

I don't think the author of that article knows what he's talking about He's including the Black Keys as "hipster" band because their guitarist grows a goat bear. This is classic rock regardless a guitarist goat face; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=250nKeglrqg It reminds me of Hendrix but to...

Strange Superstitions and The Superstitious Among Us

I agree :) Sometimes I think that adding superstitions to one's behavior has something to do with autism :p Besides, there is a big misconception of what "luck" really is. I totally agree. There is no way I go under a stair whenever somebody is on top working with tools. Otherwise, I...

    Customer experiences with Bill Kelso

Yeah, I haven't purchase a GW yet but I have talked with John and wife, very nice people both. One year of waiting time is a total deal breaker for me. In one year can happen anything, like a hurricane...

    Return to "normal" tv.

Was the TV "normal" ever? :eeek: I don't welcome any commercial at all, OMG :eusa_doh: I once expended one whole year without watching TV. It's amazing all the free time you find to do other interesting things.

    Customer experiences with Bill Kelso

I agree with this. I think it is better for both parties, customer and maker, to have a more realistic waiting time. Doing so, the maker wouldn't be swamped with emails asking where is my order. However, from another point of view, I think some people (not the quoted member in particular)...
