My avatar (clearly sporting proper safety equipment, by the way) is from an old British motorcycle movie Psychomania. It's not a great movie but I love it anyway.
I suppose it depends largely on your purpose and what holes, if any, it will fill in your wardrobe/collection. Personally I'd be more likely to veer toward the nylon...rayon? Whichever. But given the distinctly Japanese sizing I'd shop for the cut and finish first. A lining can always be changed...
Got my Aero J106. Deleted belt and loops, all brass hardware, royal stewart tartan cotton lining. I'm very happy with it and I have to say, I was expecting a crazy thick, rigid jacket. It is suitably substantial, don't get me wrong. I just thought by the fuss a lot of people make about breaking...
Great jacket, great fit. It's got a unique look without being the over-modded jacket that so many customers seem to design for themselves -- regardless of maker. Thanks for taking the time to make a post. Definitely puts Johnson Leathers on my radar.

Sometimes we discuss whether we're in a position to make a purchase or not but we don't ask each other permission. I work hard. I take care of things and if the extras can happen too, all the better. She's happy to see me enjoy what I work for. If anything, she's first to say I should get...
I think it looks great. I can't speak to how it wears but I like the roughout leather for the denim style jacket. I have never liked a smooth leather jacket in that cut though. Something about it strikes me as dangerously close to a leisure suit jacket.
Agreed. When I want something built to last I tend to think legit workwear first and avoid Chinese goods as well. The Shaefer item I posted is ranch wear -- made to be tough, abrasion resistant, reinforced where it matters. $70 isn't that much to spend for something substantial... Not when you...
