Bettydarling, I didn't even notice you had rollers in, that how cute your total look was!
AmyJeanne, I love, love, LOVE novelty prints. I think they look so great in dresses and skirts. And I wear them to work too, much to the amusement of my Gap/J Crew clad coworkers. ;)
Miss Becky, I...
Thanks ladies for the kind words!
Psycho Sue, I'm sporting some Betty Grable bangs today. I think your pics must've sumbliminally influenced me!
HannahJane, my bangs used to look like I had messy poddle hair as well...which I guess is it's own look...but C-dot's tutorial on her blog was...
Hmm I lean towards the 50s just because I love the sundresses of the era. Plus, the silhouette of the tight waist and full skirt is most flattering on my crazy hips.
Here's my do from two weeks ago. I went to see a friend's band play in a local club. It was just a hot roller set with some small rolls on the side to keep it tidy.
So I know I have my seasons all mixed up but I love summer clothes so much. This was my project from the past week. It's a simplicity reprint pattern. I can't wait for the warm weather!
And I just love these buttons to bits!
I'm bumping this up in case anyone has anything new to add...
I was wondering if anyone has any examples to show off.
Finding '20s inspired clothing can be difficult and pricey so I'd like to try my hand at whipping up something myself.
So, any input would be fantastic! Thanks!
Vitamin supplements also help with my energy level when I don't get what I need from food. I take womens multi every day and a B-complex for energy. I feel a big difference when I don't take them every day.
Well I make and use hoops that weigh about 1lb. Most commercial hoop companies charge $40-$50 for their hoops and then there's hefty shipping charge on top of that. I used to order from Hoopnotica. The hoops are great but I just cannot rationalize a $20 shipping charge. That's why I taught...

I was wondering if anyone owns this guide and has executed any of the designs from it. Finding '20s inspired clothing can be...
I love hooping and hoopmaking! I've been hoopdancing for about a year now and it has really increased my core strength and energy level and improved my terrible coordination. I even do it it indoors but the trouble with it is trying not to hit the tv, the couch, the computer table, etc...I love...
Whoa C-Dot, that was super easy! It really took no time at all and the instructions were so easy to follow. I didn't take too much off so my hair is still significantly longer than a middy long but the layers are there. I just did a quick sponge roller set and I'll be eagerly awaiting the...
I just got myself a set of Hot Sticks after hearing all the raves but they just didn't work on my hair at all. They left my hair just looking messy rather than curly. I'll keep trying with them.
So far my fav is the Remington Beach Waves hot rag rollers.
Everyone owes it to themselves to watch this clip online. It's a wacky but accurate statement on the decline of style.
Just try to keep it our of your head...
